MATERIAL FACT

BIOTOSCANA INVESTMENTS S.A. («GBT» or «Company») hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, pursuant to CVM Instruction 384, of March 17, 2003, as amended («CVM Instruction 384»), on September 22^nd, 2017, it hired BTG PACTUAL CORRETORA DE TÍTULOS E VALORES MOBILIÁRIOS S.A., headquartered at Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima, n.º 3477, 14º andar – parte, in the city and state of São Paulo, inscribed in the roll of corporate taxpayers (CNPJ/MF) under number 43.815.158/0001-22 («Market Maker»), to act as the market maker of its BDRs – ticker GBIO33 – within the scope of B3 S.A. – Brasil, Bolsa, Balcão, for twelve (12) months, extendable through a written agreement between the Company and the market maker, with the purpose of promoting the liquidity of said BDRs.

The Company also informs that 50,625,000 BDRs are outstanding in the market and that it has not entered into any agreement regulating the exercise of voting rights or the purchase and sale of securities issued by it with the market maker.

The market maker began its activities as of September 25^th, 2017, as disclosed by a Notice to the Market on September 22^nd, 2017.
